What we will not do, at any price

These are enforced in code and in the database, not promised in a policy page. They are also why the network stays indexable.

  • We label every paid item. A visible “Press Release” badge on the article and in every listing, and structured data that says Article — never NewsArticle, which is reserved for reporting by named staff.
  • We do not sell links. Outbound links in paid content carry rel="sponsored nofollow". No submission and no editor can change it.
  • We do not invent journalists. Automated items are bylined to the newsroom and marked as automated, with their sources named and linked.
  • We say who owns us. Every page discloses common ownership and links to a full ownership and funding statement.
