Luxury watch scams are on the rise, and a recent case involving MSK Collection, run by Mohammed Shamil (based between Kerala and Dubai), is raising serious red flags in the watch community.
The buyer was lured by Instagram’s glossy images and claimed credibility. He transferred ₹3 lakh for what he was told was an authentic vintage Cartier timepiece. However, within less than a month, the watch stopped functioning. When the buyer sought help, Shamil’s response was shockingly dismissive: “Go to the watch repair guy.”
But what came next was even worse. The repair expert confirmed that the watch was a complete fake. Not just malfunctioning—but entirely counterfeit. Since then, Shamil has refused to take calls or reply to messages, completely abandoning the buyer.
