There are thousands of things in the world to dislike, and yet, acne has to be the number one for many! Aren’t you too peeved with those plague dots on your face? This is your signal to get rid of them. Dr. Malda Aldaoudi has shared everything that you need to know about pimples and how to cure them. She is a proficient aesthetic dermatologist who has helped innumerable people get their dream skin.
Explaining what is meant by ‘acne’ in proper medical terms, the doctor says, “Hair, sebum (oil), and skin cells can clump together in a plug, and bacteria in the clogged pore can cause it to swell. Inside the pore, these bacteria multiply very quickly. The pores then become red and swollen (inflamed), and when the inflammation scurries deep into the skin, an acne cyst appears.”
If you think that acne can appear only on the face, then no! They can be spotted on other body parts as well, like the neck, back, shoulders, chest, and upper arms. Dr. Malda states a few symptoms like blackheads, whiteheads, papules, pustules, cysts, and nodules of acne. If you are experiencing these, the doctor suggests you consult a dermatologist for its treatment.
What you should do when you get acne Dr. Malda lets out some ways: Wash your face twice a day and use your fingertips to apply a gentle, non-abrasive cleanser. You should use gentle products, such as those that are alcohol-free. If you have oily hair, shampoo regularly and do not pick, pop, or squeeze your acne. This will only cause your skin to take longer to clear, and you will increase the risk of getting acne scars. Lastly, stay out of the sun and tanning beds.
